One-on-One Training for Local Cricket Club

This is definitely the side hustle that I enjoy the most.

I have been a volunteer coach and team manager of my son's junior cricket team for the best part of ten years.

Over the last two months, I've started doing paid 1 to 1 coaching with some promising juniors.

This is a definite need in the club. Lots of parents had asked about this for years, and its definitely a great way to improve the skills of the juniors and get them flourishing in the adult teams.

I used to play cricket at a reasonably high level, and still play on a Saturday, so my skills seem pretty much in demand.

I do one hour sessions with selected kids once per week, and currently charge £25 an hour (about $33). I try to do 2 or 3 in one block, so about £75 a session ($100 roughly).

It's coming to the end of the summer as I write this, and the plan over the winter is the following:

Book some indoor lanes at local sports centres (approx £10 to £20 per hour).

I'm hoping to do this on a Sunday each week, and do a 10am to 4pm session. It's a big commitment taking time out of the weekend when you have a family, but these are the types of challenges I need to take on over the next 12 months.

I'm hoping a local business will sponsor these sessions in some way to drive the price down for parents. These sessions will have a big positive impact on the juniors and the local club.

I'm taking on the organisation of this for other coaches as well, so hopefully we can get 10 to 20 kids having regular 1 to 1 coaching sessions all through the winter. The impact of that would be massive.

Anyway, the financial aims of this side hustle are this:

Monthly Predicted Income: £600

Hours of Work: 6 hours per week, 24 per month (approx).
